Sectors · Diagnostic imaging

AI agents for your diagnostic imaging centre.

A schedule holding CT, MRI, mammography, ultrasound and X-ray is a puzzle of slots, preparations and referrers. The Kórtex agents hold it together: they book on your RIS, prepare every patient and keep the referring physician informed. They do not read images or issue a diagnosis: that belongs to the radiologist.

Every empty machine slot costs money.

Idle imaging equipment is expensive, and a scan repeated because of poor preparation is more expensive still. The day in an imaging centre fills up with calls to book, preparations to explain, cancellations to reshuffle and referrers who want to know. When all of that lands on reception and the radiographers, slots are lost and clinical time is lost. That is where the agents work.

01 · Scheduling

Empty machine slots

A last minute cancellation leaves a CT or an MRI standing idle. Refilling that slot by hand almost never happens in time.

02 · Preparation

Scans repeated after poor preparation

A patient who did not fast, who did not stop their medication or who arrives without their consent form means the scan has to be done again.

03 · Referrers

The referring physician hears nothing

The report is signed and nobody tells the doctor who referred the patient. Next time they send the patient somewhere else.

They fit into your RIS and your PACS.

We are not asking you to change systems. The agents work on the infrastructure you already have and speak the standards of the field. We adapt to your RIS and your PACS, not the other way round, and the integration is validated with your provider during the audit before we commit to any timeline.

01 · Systems

RIS, HIS and PACS

Booking happens on the real slots in your RIS. The agents read the context they need and write back where you allow them to.

02 · Standards

DICOM and HL7 FHIR

Where the standards exist we use them. Where they do not, we work through supervised flows agreed with your provider.

03 · Compliance

GDPR and Spanish data protection law

A data processing agreement, coordination with your DPO and a full audit trail of every action, from the design phase onwards.

Your team for imaging.

Four agents specialised in the diagnostic imaging circuit. Each with one mission, all of them supervised by your team.

Illustrative example

A CT is cancelled at 16:00. By 16:20 it is filled.

A patient cancels their 16:00 CT. Vega releases the slot and offers it to the waiting list, which takes it at 16:20. Teo sends the new patient their contrast preparation. Marco tells the referrer of the patient who cancelled so their scan can be rebooked. Nobody on your team has picked up the phone. An example with fictional data to show how the circuit works; it is not a real case.

Health data

With patient imaging data, zero tolerance.

Special category data under Article 9 of the GDPR, local processing first and every action logged. The agents do not read images or issue a diagnosis: the reading and the report always belong to the radiologist. Security is not an annex to the contract, it is the architecture of the system.

On-premise AI and data sovereignty

Frequently asked questions.

No, never. The agents work in the administrative and communication layer: booking, preparation, reminders, notifications and documentation. Reading the images, the diagnosis and the report belong exclusively to the radiologist. That is a red line in the design of the system, not a configuration option.

Yes. We adapt to your system, not the other way round: through an API or through DICOM and HL7 FHIR where they exist, and through supervised workflows where they do not. During the audit we validate the integration with your software provider before committing to any timeline.

Yes. Vega places each examination on the right machine and window, respecting the protocol for each modality: CT, MRI, mammography, ultrasound and plain X-ray. It books into the real slots in the RIS, so there are no double bookings.

Teo sends each patient the instructions for their specific examination, including fasting, contrast, medication and what to bring, and confirms the patient will arrive ready. If it detects something that would prevent the scan, it alerts the centre so it can be rescheduled rather than wasting the slot.
