Sectors · Radiation oncology

AI agents for your radiation oncology service.

A course of radiotherapy is twenty five appointments, a simulation, a plan, a patient who is frightened and a referring physician waiting for news. The Kórtex agents hold that circuit together: they coordinate the schedule, stay with the patient session by session and keep the documentation in order. They make no clinical or dosimetric decisions.

The treatment lasts weeks. Nobody has time for all of it.

Between simulation, planning and daily sessions, a radiotherapy service carries an enormous load of coordination and follow-up. Someone has to remind the patient, ask how they are doing, log what they report and tell nursing in time. When that depends on whoever happens to be free, things fall through the cracks.

01 · Coordination

Simulation and planning

Booking the CT simulation, the planning and the first session means chasing three calendars at once and the patient calling to ask.

02 · Follow-up

Toxicities nobody logged

The patient mentions in passing that their skin is burning. If nobody writes it down, it does not reach nursing until it is worse.

03 · Documentation

QA left for the last minute

The quality records and the plan documentation pile up until an inspection is announced.

They fit into your OIS and your TPS.

The agents work on top of the systems you already run. We connect to your RIS, your HIS and your OIS of the MOSAIQ or ARIA type, and we speak DICOM-RT and HL7 FHIR. We adapt to your setup, not the other way round, and the integration is validated with your provider during the audit.

01 · Systems

RIS, HIS and OIS

MOSAIQ, ARIA or whatever you run. The agents read the context they need and write back only where you allow them to.

02 · Standards

DICOM-RT and HL7 FHIR

Where the standards exist we use them. Where they do not, we work through supervised flows agreed with your provider.

03 · Limits

Not a medical device

The agents stay in the administrative and communication layer, so they are not a medical device and do not need CE marking. That is a design decision.

Your team for radiotherapy.

Four agents specialised in the radiotherapy circuit. Each with one mission, all of them supervised by your team.

3D character of Vega
Booking and simulation

Vega, booking agent

Coordinates the CT simulation and the treatment schedule on the real calendar of the service.

  • Answers calls and WhatsApp messages instantly and books on the real slots.
  • Coordinates CT simulation, planning and the start of treatment.
  • Reschedules whoever cannot attend, so the treatment is not interrupted.
  • Confirms attendance and reminds the patient of each session.
3D character of Alma
Session by session

Alma, RT support agent

Stays with the patient through every session and asks the thing that matters: how are you.

  • Writes to the patient after each session to find out how they are feeling.
  • Logs their answers in an ordered history that the team can consult.
  • Alerts nursing the moment the patient reports something outside what is expected.
  • Reminds the patient of their next session and the care instructions the team has given them.
3D character of Clara
Documentation

Clara, dosimetry and QA agent

The physicist decides; Clara documents and leaves the archive ready for inspection.

  • Files each quality control with its date, its equipment and the person responsible.
  • Gives advance warning when a periodic control is about to fall due.
  • Keeps the quality archive ordered and findable for any inspection.
  • Documents what medical physics decides; it never decides for them.
3D character of Marco
Referring physicians

Marco, referrers agent

The oncologist who referred the patient always knows where the treatment stands.

  • Confirms to the referring physician that their patient has started treatment.
  • Keeps them informed at the milestones you decide to share.
  • Answers their questions about the status of each referral.
  • Delivers a monthly summary of referral activity.
Illustrative example

Session 11. The patient mentions their skin is burning.

After session 11, Alma asks the patient how they are. They answer that the area is redder and more uncomfortable than the day before. Alma logs it, classifies it as outside what is expected and alerts nursing that same afternoon, with the patient own words. Nursing decides. The agent only made sure it was heard in time. An example with fictional data to show how the circuit works; it is not a real case.

Health data

Health data and treatment, zero tolerance.

Special category data under Article 9 of the GDPR, local processing first and every action logged. The agents make no clinical or dosimetric decisions: the physician and the medical physicist decide, and the agent documents and communicates. Security is not an annex to the contract, it is the architecture of the system.

On-premise AI and data sovereignty

Frequently asked questions.

No. The agents stay in the administrative and communication layer: scheduling, reminders, follow-up, logging and documentation. Clinical decisions belong to the oncologist and dosimetric decisions to the medical physicist. Because of that they are not a medical device and do not require CE marking.

Alma logs what the patient said, word for word, and escalates it to nursing immediately with the full context. The agent does not assess severity or give medical advice: it makes sure the information reaches a person in time and that it is written down.

Yes. We connect to your OIS, your RIS and your HIS through an API or through DICOM-RT and HL7 FHIR where they exist, and through supervised workflows where they do not. We validate it with your provider during the audit before committing to any timeline.

No. Clara never performs measurements or dose calculations, which are the exclusive competence of the medical physicist. She structures the records, files each control with its date and responsible person, warns when one is about to fall due and keeps the archive ready for inspection.
